PLUG-IN HYBRID
Suitable for all uses, C5 X Plug-in Hybrid combines all the advantages of 100% electric driving for day-to-day use thanks to its 81.2 kW electric motor and the range provided by its PureTech 180 Stop & Start Euro 6.3 petrol engine for longer journeys. This technology results in CO2 emissions starting from 30g/km (in combined WLTP cycle). The ë-EAT8 automatic electric gearbox ensures remarkable fluidity and driving pleasure, with on-demand torque of 360 Nm.
ELECTRIC RANGE OF UP TO 31 MILES*
New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid is suitable for most daily journeys. In electric mode, it offers:
- A range of up to 31 miles in full electric mode (depending on the options fitted to the car and the actual conditions of use)*;
- Quiet driving at speeds up to 83 mph (where legally permitted) in full electric mode;
- Zero emissions at tailpipe when driven in full electric mode;

QUICK AND PRACTICAL DAILY CHARGING
There are many solutions for recharging your New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid:
- Wall Box: With the standard Mode 3 (Type 2) cable, it recharges from 0% to 100% in less than 2 hours thanks to the standard 7.4 kW on-board charger.
- An (optional) domestic charging cable for use with a standard domestic 3-pin socket (for occasional domestic charging): charges the battery from 0% to 100% in less than 8 hours, or overnight.
- 100 kW terminals are not compatible with New Citroën C5 X Plug-in Hybrid.

CITROËN ADVANCED COMFORT® ACTIVE SUSPENSION
Citroen’s Advanced Comfort® suspension designed to recreate the flying-carpet effect of iconic Citroëns and to overcome obstacles, potholes, speed bumps and other road imperfections is standard across the New Citroën C5 X range.
By offering a world-first, Citroën Advanced Comfort® Active Suspension, plug-in hybrid versions of the New C5 X further improve comfort by combining Progressive Hydraulic Cushions® with active suspension control. The vehicle adapts the suspension of each wheel to be softer or firmer depending on the conditions encountered.
Sensors continually analyse the road and any irregularities and transmit information to the onboard computer which optimises the suspension configuration to ensure maximum comfort for all occupants. As well as ESP sensors, controlled suspension has vertical position and wheel-speed sensors to analyse vehicle body movements and driving rhythm.
Active suspension delivers complete comfort when cruising on a straight road and precise, dynamic handling on bends.
LOUNGE AREA
Designed to deliver a lounge-like feel, the interior of New Citroën C5 X exudes technology and on-board space thanks to its generous volumes and sharp lines. The refined surfaces and attention to the smallest of details create a feeling of well-being.
EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY
The Extended Head Up Display projects key driving information onto the windscreen directly in to the driver’s line of sight. The full colour, large dimensional display sets new standards for safety and ergonomics.
Using the steering wheel mounted controls, the driver can easily personalise and configure the display to meet their preferences. This improves safety and well-being as the need to look away from the road to check key information on speed, driver-assistance systems, connected navigation, media or phone management is significantly reduced.
DRIVING ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
Particularly suited to faster roads such as dual-carriageways and motorways, this functionality allows the driver to partially delegate tasks without reducing driving pleasure.
Operational from 20 mph, simply select a target speed and the system will automatically maintain the position of C5 X in the lane, reducing the need for the driver to manage speed or steering.
This is not designed as a fully autonomous system and for the Highway Driver Assist function to remain active, the driver’s hands must be kept on the steering wheel at all times. The driver can of course resume full control of all functions at any time they wish.
