History

Roy H G Tolley was established in 1960 at a town centre location by Roy Tolley. In 1961 it became a Limited Company and, after briefly holding a Morgan Agency, it became a Triumph, then Rover Triumph dealership. The Citroën franchise was secured in 1976 which resulted in steady growth in turnover and sales.

The company relocated to its current purpose built premises at Gosbecks Road in 1990.
In 2008 we add the newly reformed MG franchise as an addition to Citroën, and we are seeing this brand growing over the last few years.

At the end of 2017 we also added the Peugeot franchise. This has increased the variety of vehicles that we can now offer to our New and Loyal customers, and makes Gosbecks Road in Colchester a great place to go looking for your next car.
We are one of only a few privately owned car dealers left in the Colchester area, and pride ourselves on the personal service we offer to our customers. This has gained us many customer care awards over the past 20 years.
